The Berge Sisters Tour the Neitherswarth
A downloadable book
DuRona has crafted a middle-grade book that is both thrilling and heartfelt. It's a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat and warm your heart—highly recommended for young readers and the young at heart alike.

[A] well-written, thoroughly engaging chapter book for the young adult population. Although, as an adult, I enjoyed the complexities of the characters and the interesting twists and turns that held my attention throughout.
~ Hero Shack Press

Thirteen-year-old Lacey Berge is furious. Her dad has dragged her to her late great-uncle's mansion in the mountains of Vermont, and taken her stepsister Cal along for the ride. Lacey can't stand that little know-it-all, and nothing her dad can say or do will force them to bond.
But soon after they arrive, an emergency forces Lacey's dad to leave the girls on their own. When they take the opportunity to explore, they discover a secret lab and accidentally open a portal to another dimension, unleashing a horde of mischievous monsters into the mansion!
Can these reluctant siblings put aside their differences long enough to get rid of the creatures before Lacey's dad gets back?

This book made me fall in love with MG horror again after a long break from it. A comparison with Goosebumps would be an accurate description, but Neitherswarth also feels like a unique, spooky and magical story in its own right.
The descriptions of the imaginative world the Berge siblings discover are amazing (JL is a seriously good writer) and it's pretty much impossible not to fall in love with every single character. A must read for horror fans of all ages
